Experience

A military intelligence analyst views the world in a different way.  President Reagan shared this view of the world when he implemented the policy of "Trust but Verify" on U.S foreign policy with the Soviet Union.

It is easy for first-time candidates to pontificate on how they will vote once they are elected.  It is much harder to make the hard votes consistent with one's core beliefs while under immense political pressure.

I voted under fire.  I have a record you can trust and verify.

Obviously, I cannot reproduce all of the thousands of votes I cast as a state representative, but I can produce the actual documents I received from various interested parties that monitored my votes and made their assessment of my performance and invite you to view them below.

You do not need a former politician to "vouch" for my abilities or beliefs.  My record speaks for itself.

I also learned basics of governmental budgeting at the municipal level as a city councilman.  I honed my budgeting skills when I helped negotiate and write a $20 billion dollar state operating budget as the Republican Vice-Chair of the House Appropriations Committee in Washington.  I am fully prepared to address the $2.6 billion dollar operating budget of the University of Colorado.
